AP Environmental Science Summer Workshop (July 8th - 11th, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm EST)
Join the third annual Smedes AP Environmental Science workshop for a four-day exploration of building class culture, flipping instruction, lab experiences, FRQ writing strategies, exam prep, and building community partnerships!
Check out some of the feedback from last year's participants:
This workshop will be hosted on Zoom and be structured in much the same way that I structure my own classes with my APES students: short periods of direct presentation, followed with lots of time for questions, collaboration, and opportunities to apply the concepts and resources I share to your own course.
My goal is for you to leave with a library of all the content and lab resources you need for the upcoming year, as well as a clear outline for your course that incorporates the cultural and instructional practices covered in this workshop.Â
In addition, participants will have a 1-on-1 follow up meeting after the conference so they can ask questions when they're closer to planning or starting the start of their school year. The group will also reconnect via Zoom periodically throughout the year to share what's worked well and support one another.
This session will be limited to 20 participants. If this session fills up, an asynchronous option may be offered.
The Zoom link and workshop resources will be emailed out two weeks before the workshop begins.
If your school cannot pay for this workshop with a credit card and needs to pay with a purchase order or if you have any questions, please email me! (apesvseverbody@gmail.com)
